About AAA CHC

AAA Comprehensive Healthcare (AAACHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). We exist to serve those who have limited access to healthcare. Unlike most private practices, we welcome low-income, the uninsured and the under-insured. Providing health care in North Hollywood. We offer primary medical care, dental care, pediatrics, prenatal care, and behavioral health care. Our residency program for young doctors works in cooperation with local hospitals and medical schools. We have partnerships with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, UCLA Medical Center, and Kaiser Permanente to educate new doctors. The breadth of our mission and the achievements since inception, back in 2009, attest to our commitment to the people of greater Los Angeles.

FQHC

According to the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), FQHCs:

  • Qualify for funding under Section 330 of the Public Health Service Act (PHS).

  • Qualify for enhanced reimbursement from Medicare and Medicaid*, as well as other benefits

  • Serve an undeserved area or population

  • Offer a sliding fee scale

  • Provide comprehensive services (either on-site or by arrangement with another provider), including:

    • Preventive health services

    • Dental services

    • Mental health and substance abuse services

    • Transportation services necessary for adequate patient care

    • Hospital and specialty care

Covered California

Covered California is a free service that connects Californians with brand-name health insurance under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. It’s the only place where you can get financial help when you buy health insurance from well-known companies. That means when you apply, you may qualify for a discount on a health plan through Covered California, or get health insurance through the state’s Medi-Cal program. Either way, you’ll have great health coverage.

Dr. Irvin Benowitz has been in practice for more than 20 years. He is on the AOA Board of Family Physicians and is certified in Geriatric Medicine (CAQ), receiving his medical degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Elena Gilman

MD/Psychiatrist

Dr Gilman is a board certified psychiatrist. She completed her psychiatric residency at Caritas St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center of Boston. She has 14 years of experience in community psychiatry working in different clinics in Los Angeles. She is fluent in English and Russian.

Armine Minasyan

NP-C, MSN, APRN

Armine Minasyan is licensed to practice in California (license number 95013923). A certified nurse practitioner is an advanced practice registered nurse and a type of mid-level practitioner. NPs are trained to assess patient needs, order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests, diagnose disease, formulate and prescribe treatment plans

Armen Babaian

DDS

Dr. Babaian’s medical specialization is dentistry. He is licensed to practice in California (license number 104479). A general dentist is the primary dental care provider for patients of all ages. The general dentist is responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, management and overall coordination of services related to patients’ oral health needs.
