AAA Comprehensive Healthcare (AAACHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). We exist to serve those who have limited access to healthcare. Unlike most private practices, we welcome low-income, the uninsured and the under-insured. Providing health care in North Hollywood. We offer primary medical care, dental care, pediatrics, prenatal care, and behavioral health care. Our residency program for young doctors works in cooperation with local hospitals and medical schools. We have partnerships with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, UCLA Medical Center, and Kaiser Permanente to educate new doctors. The breadth of our mission and the achievements since inception, back in 2009, attest to our commitment to the people of greater Los Angeles.
According to the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), FQHCs:
Qualify for funding under Section 330 of the Public Health Service Act (PHS).
Qualify for enhanced reimbursement from Medicare and Medicaid*, as well as other benefits
Serve an undeserved area or population
Offer a sliding fee scale
Provide comprehensive services (either on-site or by arrangement with another provider), including:
Preventive health services
Dental services
Mental health and substance abuse services
Transportation services necessary for adequate patient care
Hospital and specialty care

It’s the only place where you can get financial help when you buy health insurance from well-known companies. That means when you apply, you may qualify for a discount on a health plan through Covered California, or get health insurance through the state’s Medi-Cal program. Dr. David Mark Rekar is a seasoned physician with over four decades of experience in internal medicine, family practice, sports medicine, nutrition, preventive medicine, and complementary and holistic care. He earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at Alleghany General Hospital in Pittsburgh and Booth Memorial Hospital in New York. Currently serving as Chief Medical Officer at AAA Comprehensive Healthcare, Dr. Rekar has held medical director and supervising physician roles at numerous clinics throughout the greater Los Angeles area

Dr. Armen Babaian is a Doctor of Dental Surgery with dual dental degrees from Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC and the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad. With a career in dentistry spanning decades, he has served as an associate dentist with Dr. Kolodner Dental Group and Paul Dawood DDS, and brings extensive hands-on experience in extractions, fillings, cleanings (regular and deep cleanings), gained through clinical rotations at Los Angeles County Hospital and USC’s Pediatric Mobile Dental Clinic. A member of the American Dental Association, Dr. Babaian is fluent in English, Spanish, Armenian, and Arabic, allowing him to connect with and serve a broad and diverse patient population. Dr. Babaian has studied classical piano since childhood and performed concerts in many countries.

Bryan Haas is a multifaceted healthcare professional serving as both a Chiropractor and a Nurse Practitioner, making him very unique. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College Los Angeles and his Advanced Practice Nursing degree from United States University San Diego. Currently practicing at AAA Comprehensive Healthcare in North Hollywood, he has the tools for chiropractic therapy, regenerative therapy, and can prescribe medications – all in one!
Patients love his energy, upbeat attitude, bedside manner, and the way he really listens to them. He truly cares about his patients, their families, and their overall health.

Katherine Geelan is a Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University and a career rooted in both psychiatric nursing and advanced psychiatric practice. Currently practicing at AAA Comprehensive Healthcare in North Hollywood, she independently conducts comprehensive psychiatric, bio-psychosocial, familial, provides psychiatric diagnoses, and prescribes psychopharmaceutical treatments for a wide range of mental health conditions including bipolar disorder, major depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and ADHD. With experience in psychiatric urgent care, telepsychiatry, and involuntary hold evaluations, Katherine brings exceptional depth and breadth to behavioral health care across the lifespan. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her three children, exploring new destinations, and seeking out great Indian food.

Daniel Riboh is a Certified Physician Assistant who graduated Suma Cum Laude with a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Charles R. Drew University of Health & Sciences, where he also served as Class Vice President and received the Professionalism Award. Currently practicing at AAA Comprehensive Healthcare in North Hollywood, he performs physical exams, diagnoses illnesses, interprets laboratory and imaging results. With a diverse clinical background, Daniel is committed to serving underserved communities and providing top-quality care for all of his patients. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, as well as traveling, biking, and hiking.

Juwlery Vu is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over four years of experience delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across all age groups in family practice settings. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing from California State University, Long Beach and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University, Los Angeles. Currently practicing at AAA Comprehensive Healthcare in Santa Ana, she is adept at managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions — including diabetes, hypertension, COPD, mental health concerns, and more — while also providing preventive care, well-child exams, immunizations, and telehealth consultations. Fluent in Vietnamese and proficient in medical Spanish, Juwlery brings both cultural competency and clinical excellence to every patient encounter. When not at work, Juwlery enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, and cooking. She finds these moments grounding and a great way to relax and stay connected.

Her rich clinical background includes telemetry nursing at Kaiser Medical Center, travel nursing positions at facilities across California and Massachusetts, and home health care, equipping her with exceptional versatility and a strong foundation in both acute and chronic disease management.

With over a decade of clinical experience, he currently serves patients at AAA Comprehensive Healthcare, providing personalized acupuncture treatments for a wide variety of health conditions. Fluent in both English and Korean, Sang Woo is committed to serving diverse patient populations — including those with disabilities, making holistic wellness and pain management accessible to all.

Margrette Hakim is a highly experienced Certified Physician Assistant licensed in California since 2003, with academic credentials that include a Primary Care PA degree from UC Davis, postdoctoral studies in neonatal medicine at UCLA, a Master’s degree in Pediatrics from Cairo University, and a medical diploma from Bucharest, Romania. With over two decades of clinical experience in family practice, OB/GYN, and pediatrics at community health organizations including Northeast Valley Health Corporation, North Orange County Regional Health Foundation, Sierra Health Center, and Mission City Community Network, she brings exceptional breadth and cultural sensitivity to her practice. Fluent in English, Spanish, Arabic, and Romanian, Margrette is especially well-suited to serve diverse, underserved patient populations and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the California Academy of Physician Assistants (CAPA). Outside of work, Margrette loves spending time with her kids and cooking.
